Diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, in 2023, Yeo Whee Jim refuses to let his illness have the last word. He now takes to the stage for a one-night-only show, reflecting on the humour, poetry and friendships that help keep despair at bay. Join him as he looks back at a life well-lived, filled with music and happy memories, and ponders what the future means. Expect wit and laughter, and to be moved by one man's brave and unique journey. Ticket proceeds for the show will go towards growing The Lok Yan and Whee Jim Fund, an endowment fund set up with Community Foundation of Singapore. The fund supports disadvantaged children and families, including young caregivers balancing school and caregiving responsibilities. The show celebrates Whee Jim’s indomitable spirit and honours his desire to leave a lasting legacy - one that helps shape a more caring and kinder Singapore for generations to come. This production is made possible with generous support and guidance from Wild Rice. Kindly note that ticket purchases are not eligible for tax deductions. Organiser: Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) is Singapore’s oldest community foundation, established in 2008 to make giving more purposeful and effective. Today, CFS stewards more than 300 donor-advised funds, working with individuals, families and businesses to achieve their philanthropic goals and support the causes that matter to them. The organisation provides insights into community needs, conducts charity due diligence, facilitates grantmaking and supports donors in planning their legacy and memorial gifts.
