Looking for a free school holiday activity for the whaanau? Come and discover the creativity of South and East Auckland tamariki at the Eye on Nature Creative Arts Exhibition, hosted by the Beautification Trust. From Saturday 26 September to Sunday 11 October, the Auckland Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre will be filled with artwork created by kindergarten and primary school students, inspired by this year’s theme: Ka tipu tahi taatou – Together We Grow. Come and see how tamariki have used art to share their ideas about caring for te taiao, connecting with their communities and creating a healthier environment. Whether you’re coming to support a young artist you know or simply looking for something interesting and FREE to do these school holidays, this exhibition is worth a visit. There is so much to explore at the Auckland Botanic Gardens. Bring a picnic, wander through the gardens and make a day of your visit. You’ll also have the chance to vote for your favourite artwork in the People’s Choice award. Take a closer look, choose the artwork that speaks to you and have your say!
